Is one night enough per college?
Short answer: One night per college is the default for a single-campus visit. Two nights make sense only for a fly-in program or when you're pairing two colleges in the same city (Boston, Atlanta, Chicago).
One night gives you an afternoon arrival, a morning tour, and a half-day of driving — that's a complete visit for most decisions.
Two nights help when the campus is a flight away (Stanford, Rice, UH Manoa) and the second night absorbs travel buffer.
